The Gold Coast Show Society President, Josephine Tobias, says she is looking forward to bringing a new direction to the way the show creates memories for today. “I am thrilled to have James as the face of our Show for 2023. Having completed his schooling here on the Coast, he epitomizes the country heritage we embody. Our iconic show holds so many memories for not only our community, but for the Gold Coast and it will continue to be part of the cultural fabric of our city.” She adds. “The Show’s connection to the community has never been stronger and COVID has shown a clear need to nurture our sense of spirit and support of the Arts as well as agriculture and local business.”

Gold Coast Show Ambassador, James Blundell says. “Growing up in regional Queensland, the local Agricultural Show was always the highlight of the year. A great opportunity for everyone to gather, catch up, display their various produce and livestock, and swap enough gossip to sink a battle ship.” James explains, “To be asked to Ambassador the 2023 Gold Coast Agricultural Show is an absolute delight”. James adds, “Bringing the country to town in such a dynamic setting genuinely opens up an opportunity for families and kids, to enjoy close proximity to animals, witness closely and personally the amazing effort that goes into fine produce, and to re-engage in simple country hospitality. This year’s show will draw an unprecedented crowd and I look forward to the build up with great anticipation, and thoroughly appreciate the opportunity to tell the story’
